By Peter & Chris Ferraro | 6/6/10
NHL Playoffs – 2010 Stanley Cup Finals Game 5
Flyers 4 – 7 Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks dominated game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. With a first period lead of 3-0, the momentum carried them throughout the entire game. Every player on Chicago was on the same page. They beat the Flyers up in all areas of the ice. They won their one on one battles, beat Philly to loose pucks, controlled the puck well, and applied pressure to their defense. Pronger was minus -5 and Leighton was pulled after his poor performance in the 1st period. Boucher replaced in the 2nd period and wasn’t very sharp either. The Flyers played catch up all night and couldn’t contain the Hawks 60 minute effort. Both teams have had success at home in this series, so Philly may be able to squeeze out a win at home. Either way, the Chicago Blackhawks are the better team and deserve to win the Stanley Cup!
